Job Title: Senior Residential Children’s Support Worker

Salary: £28,000 – £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Contract Type: Full-time shift work (including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins)

About the Role:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Senior Residential Children’s Support Workers.

You will be working within a residential care setting, supporting children and young people who may have experienced trauma, challenging backgrounds, or emotional and behavioural difficulties.

You will play a key role in leading shifts, mentoring staff, and ensuring that the home provides a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where young people can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead shifts and support the effective day-to-day operation of the home
  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people
  • Act as a role model and mentor to other staff members
  • Assist in the development and implementation of care plans
  • Support with safeguarding, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies
  • Liaise with external professionals, families, and colleagues
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date record keeping
  • Contribute to staff supervision and training where required

Requirements:

  • 12+ months previous experience working with children or young people within children’s residential homes
  • Willingness to work shifts, including sleeps
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Level 3 in Children & Young People
